Service Descriptions

Psychotherapy for Individuals and Couples

Community Conex provides exceptional and in-depth therapy to those in need. I offer services that cover a wide range of mental health and addiction issues including, but not limited to: bereavement, personality issues, chronic pain, life transitions, self-esteem, anxiety, addictions, depression, and relationship issues. Services are provided to individuals, couples, and families.

My primary areas of focus for psychotherapy include obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), social anxiety, panic disorders, agoraphobia, phobias, generalized anxiety & worry, depression, and health anxiety. I use a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy, rational-emotive therapy, emotion-focused therapy, schema therapy, and cognitive processing therapy.

For example, a couple seeking private therapy to work on recent interpersonal issues would contact our office, where we would help connect them with the appropriate service. Please feel free to contact me to discuss your specific issues or questions. Fees for service and insurance coverage can be discussed during our initial consultation.

Roll For Recovery - Therapeutic Gaming

Roll for Recovery is an innovative therapeutic approach that harnesses the power of tabletop role-playing and board games as a medium for psychological growth and healing. Simply put, therapeutic gaming is gaming with intention—a carefully balanced approach that engages players to increase concentration and participation while seamlessly integrating psycho-educational and therapeutic objectives.

Our program regularly hosts game nights featuring board games with therapeutic value and tabletop role-playing games designed with specific psychotherapeutic goals. We create intentional gaming experiences that allow participants to explore personal challenges, develop social skills, and engage in meaningful psychological work through play.

We've worked with various game systems including Dungeons & Dragons, Kids on Bikes, Monster of the Week, and No Thank You Evil. Each game is strategically selected and facilitated to support participants' therapeutic journeys. Whether you're interested in joining an existing group or exploring a custom gaming experience, I invite you to contact me to discuss how therapeutic gaming might support your mental health and personal growth.

Group Psychotherapy for Parents and Caregivers of Neurodivergent Individuals

Caring for a neurodivergent loved one can be both incredibly rewarding and deeply challenging. My group psychotherapy program offers a supportive space specifically designed for parents and caregivers who are navigating this unique journey. Using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), we focus on building resilience, developing practical coping strategies, and creating meaningful connections with others who truly understand your experience.

This group provides a compassionate environment where you can share your struggles, celebrate your victories, and learn tools to support both yourself and your loved ones. Together, we'll work on accepting the realities of your caregiving experience while committing to personal growth, self-care, and maintaining your own emotional well-being. No judgment, just genuine support and practical guidance.

If you're looking for a supportive space to connect, grow, and find renewed strength in your caregiving journey, I'm here to help.
